Hautkontakt – Körperweg ist eine multimediale Installation mit partizipativem Ansatz, die den Blick direkt auf die Haut der Teilnehmenden ebenso wie der Zuschauenden lenkt. Im Zentrum steht die Körper-Weg-Aktion: Eine Person befindet sich auf einer Drehscheibe in einem geschlossenen Raum. Während sich der Körper langsam um die eigene Achse dreht, tastet eine Kamera in ruhiger, gleichmäßiger Bewegung die Körperoberfläche ab. Das Objektiv streift jeden Zentimeter Haut und zeichnet Rundungen, Vertiefungen, Faltungen und Behaarungen in extremer Vergrößerung auf.
Die entstehenden Bilder werden live auf eine Rundleinwand projiziert und sind für die teilnehmende Person sichtbar. Durch die Nähe und die Fragmentierung wird die gewohnte Wahrnehmung des Körpers aufgehoben: Die Haut erscheint als Landschaft und als abstraktes Bild jenseits von Wiedererkennen und Zuschreibung. Die Aktion kann sowohl als intime, individuelle Erfahrung als auch als öffentliche Performance realisiert werden.
Hautkontakt versteht sich als selbstaufzeichnendes Körperportrait und als persönliche Erfahrungsaktion. Die Haut wird nicht repräsentiert, sondern als Wahrnehmungsraum erlebt, gesehen, gespürt und reflektiert. Sie fungiert zugleich als Grenze und Schnittstelle – als Trägerin von Geschichte, Arbeit und Leben.
Die Haut der beteiligten Personen wurde filmisch dokumentiert. Mit Zustimmung der Teilnehmenden wurden ausgewählte Einzelbilder im Hautarchiv archiviert.

Hautkontakt – Körperweg is a multimedia installation with a participatory approach that directs the gaze toward the skin of both participants and viewers. At its core is the Body-Path Action: a person stands on a rotating platform inside an enclosed space. As the body slowly turns around its own axis, a camera moves in a calm, continuous vertical motion, scanning the surface of the body. The lens passes over every centimeter of skin, recording contours, indentations, folds, and body hair in extreme close-up.
The resulting images are projected live onto a circular screen and are visible to the participating person. Through proximity and fragmentation, habitual perceptions of the body are disrupted: skin appears as landscape, as an abstract image beyond recognition and attribution. The action may take place as an intimate, individual experience or as a public performance.
Hautkontakt understands itself as a self-recording body portrait and as a personal experiential action. Skin is not represented but experienced — seen, sensed, and reflected upon. It functions simultaneously as boundary and interface, as a carrier of history, labor, and life.
In an extended installation format, macro recordings of skin from a “Skin Archive” are projected onto bodies, objects, and the architectural space. Performers respond to the projections through movement, voice, and language. The projections themselves constitute the only source of light in the room. The body becomes a projection surface for foreign skin; perception is shared, displaced, and directed inward.
